The ASE-0850-02 is an ASE light source in the 850 nm wavelength range using Er-doped fluoride fibers as a gain medium. Silicon photodiodes are most sensitive in the 850 nm wavelength range, so that 850 nm band is best wavelength range for measurements. This is the best light source for R&D and evaluation of optical devices like plastic optical waveguides.
